Restore Adobe as your .pdf viewer following these steps
1. find a .pdf file (not an email attachment) and right click it, slide down to Open with, the slide over to Choose another app and click Choose another app
2. Choose either Acrobat 9.0 (more features) or
Reader DC (faster opening)
Be sure to checkmark "Always use this app to open
pdf files". The icon will change to the familiar red Adobe symbol
Now you're good until another Windows 10 update resets it to open in Edge again
